📢 Career Opportunity: Process Technical Authority – Gas Processing at Shell (Rashpetco/Burullus)
Join Shell’s Rashpetco/Burullus JV in Cairo, Egypt as a Process Technical Authority (TA) – Gas Processing. This is a senior role for experienced process engineers in upstream oil and gas, combining technical leadership, process optimisation, and hands-on engineering expertise.
💼 Key Responsibilities:
🛠 Lead process engineering for gas processing systems, including compressors, pumps, air coolers, separators, heat exchangers, tanks, and offsites
📊 Develop and maintain process models using Aspen HYSYS, Unisim, and PIPESIM
✅ Provide technical governance, assurance, and sign-off on engineering deliverables
🔍 Conduct flare system, PSV, and blowdown calculations using Flarenet
📈 Drive process optimisation for gas dehydration, condensate stabilisation, slug catchers, and offshore/subsea systems
📝 Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, QRA, and MoC reviews
👨🏫 Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and approve work within JV teams
🤝 Collaborate with operations, projects, and contractors to ensure safety, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency
🎓 Requirements:
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
💼 Minimum 13 years of upstream oil & gas experience
🛠 Proven experience as a technical authority or senior process engineer
💻 Proficiency in Aspen HYSYS, Unisim, PIPESIM; familiarity with Flarenet, HTRI, AutoCAD is a plus
🌊 Hands-on experience with compressors, pumps, air coolers, heat exchangers, storage tanks, pressure vessels, and offsite facilities
✅ Knowledge of international process design codes and process safety standards
👥 Strong mentorship, leadership, and collaboration skills in a Joint Venture environment
